Alchitrof's Plumed Glory

January's colorway is a shiny merino/tencel blend, exclusively available to our yarn club members. This gorgeous blend is inspired by a stunning late 16th-century painting called "Alchitrof, Aethiopia Rex." The painting was part of a series of portraits assembled by Italian historian/biographer Paolo Giovio. This month's yarn is 50% merino/ 50% tencel in DK weight yarn (225m/100g). The colorway is a soft striped pattern of lichen, salmon, burgundy, brown, russet red, ecru and ivory which all mimics the Ethiopian king's feathery crown.
