This limited edition run is a fun zebra style yarn which has a twist of black and grey weaved into various strands. The colorway is variegated, inspired by these French hens who in a medieval manuscript. On one half of a skein is an earthy chestnut brown and silvery grey blend reminiscent of the brown feathers of the hen. There is a whisp of a light turquoise blue that is also on our feathered friend and a good third of the skein has an intense rooster red with orange that comes down the bird's neck.  Each color flows in and out of each other to give you a gorgeous variegated blend that will work up beautifully. 
 
 This will work up beautifully as it's a soft sock yarn with a high twist, and it will go a long way as it's 366m/100g.  
 
Fancy French Hen: Each large skein is zebra sock yarn, 75% merino and 25% nylon. Superwash sock weight. 366m (400y)/100g. Each package comes with Holiday charms as well. 
 
Each order will contain a pair of earrings. One set of earrings per order (not one set per skein).

Description: The merino gives natural elasticity which is boosted with the nylon so you get great movement and stretch but it will bounce back wonderfully into shape. The merino fibres are not itchy or scratchy on the skin. The yarn is perfect for socks but can equally can be knitted into scarves, shawls, bags, granny squares, tops, or baby garments which will feel soft next to the skin due to the fine merino used. As this is superwash, you can wash your finished product in a washing machine. Recommended not to use water hotter than 30°C.
