COLORWAY: This neutral tone is inspired by a figure of a Moor wearing a dark, camel colored tunic, as depicted in a 15th-century German tapestry. The tonal colorway has warm, earthy orange undertones that lift the brown color. It's a beautiful soft camel color! This is great paired up with warm colors like red, orange, or cream, and would work really well for amigurumi lovers who love making little cute bears.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR BASE:
Choose a yarn base from the drop-down menu. I offer a selection of mostly Superwash but have some non-Superwash yarn blends. While most of these yarns contain wool, they range from hardwearing blends with nylon for socks to luxury silk and alpaca bases for sweaters, cardigans, shawls, hats, gloves, and other creations. These yarn weights vary so you can make light, breathable items or warm and cosy projects like blankets and afghans.
If you would like more than one skein please select the desired quantity in a drop down menu (you will see it in your cart if you cannot see it in this listing).

Also has hypoallergenic properties & is lanolin free so is a safe choice if you’re allergic to sheep’s wool. The sheen this yarn has along with the softness are a sensory delight. blankets, & accessories.

Your order will be started almost immediately after placing it, but note that each order typically takes 3 to 4 days to process before they are shipped.
Orders are shipped as soon as possible, and estimated shipping times will depend on the shipping method chosen. All orders are shipped using Standard, untracked post by default, but tracked shipping can be chosen at checkout.

I dye to order and will start immediately but need a few days to complete the work (so that it dries properly for you).
This yarn is hand-dyed, every skein is slightly unique, but I endeavor to make them match as closely as possible if you have a large order. Skeins from different batches may vary, so if you are buying yarn for a large project, please make sure to buy enough at once so that the colorway matches as closely as possible.
I also aim to make these colors reflect the manuscript images as closely as possible, but remember that these colorways are inspired by our historical figures, not exact duplicates. Every computer screen/cellphone might show the image and yarn colors slightly different, but I make the colorways as vibrant as possible.
Please note, that non-Superwash yarn bases might soften the colors of your chosen colorway.
Your yarn will be shipped in skeins, but if you would prefer it wound into a ball of yarn, I can do that for you. Just leave a note at the checkout.
My dyeing process includes food-grade citric acid that seals in the color and gives a vibrant permanent colorway. It's harmless and has no chemical smell. I also wash your yarn and try to ensure there will be no bleeding but in some cases there may be some very faint/minor bleeding at first wash. It's also always recommended to handwash wool that isn't superwash in cool to very slightly lukewarm water, nothing hot.
Smells/Odours: your yarn shouldn't have a smell to it but if it does when you open the bag, that's just the smell of wool. It's not a chemical unless the sparkle wool has been treated with vinegar (but it shouldn't have a smell to it, don't worry!).
For all wool-based yarn, we recommend hand-washing in water no warmer than 30°C (86°F).
Superwash projects/yarn can be machine washed using a gentle/delicate cycle with cold water (30°C / 86°F).
Do not iron. Do not dry in a tumble dryer. Dry on a flat surface to keep the shape of your project. Hanging while drying might stretch it and make it look misshapen.
Do not wring wet yarn. Wrap it in a towel and sap up the excess water and let yarn or project dry naturally.
Blocking: Dunk your project in cold water or spritz it with water. Use a flat surface and blocking mats (inexpensive gym mats are a great alternative for this) and lay project on it. Pin the project down with rust-free pins and let air-dry.
